Who we are

O’Farrell Safeguarding is what is known as the ‘Controller’ of the personal data you provide to us. We take your privacy seriously and will only use personal information about you to enable the provision of the services requested from us and any necessary follow up actions.

We collect a variety of personal data from you.  This can include information such as your name and address, contact details, your date of birth, details of your family/carers plus further details on specific medical and relevant health-care details and history necessary to allow us to provide the services requested.

We have a Data Protection regime in place to oversee the effective and secure processing of your personal data.

Why we need your data and our Legal Basis for Processing

We need your basic personal data in order to provide you with our service.

To use your information lawfully, we use your information in accordance with at least one of the following legal basis:

• For the performance of a contract
• Legal obligation
• Our legitimate interests and/or with your consent
• To meet our regulatory and legal obligations

We will not collect any personal data from you that we do not need in order to provide and oversee our services to you.

Disclosure to Third Parties

All the personal data we process is processed by our staff within the organisation. As part of the services we provide, we may exchange your details with the commissioners of the contract and relevant statutory agencies No other third parties have access to your personal data unless the law allows them to do so.

How long we retain your information

To meet our legal and regulatory obligations, we retain your information for a period of time after you have contacted us or used our services. For further information regarding our retention periods please contact our Data Protection Officer.

Your rights

If you wish to see what information we hold on you, simply contact us either by post or email and we will endeavour to respond to you within one month of receipt of your request.

If at any point you believe the information we process on you is incorrect, you may request to have it corrected. You can contact us at the address shown below. If you wish to raise a complaint on how we have handled your personal data, you can also contact our Data Protection Officer (DPO) directly.
